Waiting and waiting...OK I cut 2 antique panel mirrors LAST WEEK and the mastic still is not dry! The first panel I used a mastic that set too fast- it was difficult to get the 12 cut panels in line before it started to set up. PANIC! The next day I switched brand name of mastic...On this second panel made of 12 cut pieces the stuff is setting so slow. It has been over a week so far and there is still movement. These mirror panels are beautiful and will be stunning once they are finally installed on the wall. They are made of drawn antique glass that I have antique silvered...Jewel- like..STUNNING... PICTURES to come..
So I started the day realizing my mirror work was not set yet...then I worked the remained of the day on leaded panels...and my iron set at 450F on the hottest day so far....WOW it was hot...but a great day in studio...with lots accomplished .
Perfection is striving to one's greatest potential....so get going!
