Filling up the glass rack....

Today I went to the studio in unpack glass...OK..it is crazy the amount of glass that I have stock piled over the years...and so many pieces that I completely forgot about. So I sit there..wipe the dust off them..admire them...waste my day away...and obviously I did not at all get accomplished what I had to get done.  Today's job was to take a part one of the beautiful inserts I made for a client this week because I noticed a small surface scratch....BUT the issue is I used 5/32 brass reinforced lead came...why? because I have a case and it does look beautiful...never try to take apart a project where you have used reinforced leaded came (the brass bar is inside the lead came..ie....VERY HARD to cut and take apart.  So tomorrow I am just going to build a new one.)  Now thinking about it I should have left it intact and kept it for a showroom sample...I will post  pictures once I  take them of this project...These cabinet inserts are made of Drawn Antique in clear...and a 3/4" pencil bevel that is then bordered by more GNA..Very simplistic but beautiful....Some times the hardest designs to come up with but the best reward!  Tonight I am going to catch up on some reading from my glass master...who keeps sending me notes on how to properly hold my paint brush....needless to say I have a lot of reading to do....maybe soon I will actually finish a glass painting project and get it fired...MAYBE..
